I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), registered nurse and mother to three beautiful children. By working in both paediatric and neonatal intensive care for over 16 years I have been lucky to do what I love best in providing one on one care to babies and their families. I believe all women and their babies should have access to quality care, care that I am passionate about in delivering through information and support. I Have a nursing career that has enabled me to work both in the UK and Australia spending a part of my career at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, by providing intensive care nursing I found my passion for one on one care to the child and family enabling me to build trust and rapport. I worked at Sydney Children’s hospital before having my children and following my dream of becoming an IBCLC.

My ambition to become an IBCLC was heightened by my own birth experience with my first child after suffering from a post partum haemorrhage breastfeeding got off to a rather rocky start and a period of feeling that there was no support out there for women going through what I experienced. The feeling of not wanting another woman to struggle the way I did spurred me on to become an IBCLC so I could help as many women as possible by providing care, nurturing support and empathy in the transition period that is motherhood. I aim to not only provide care, information and support to women but also teach them to listen to their own instincts as a mother and tune into their baby.
